“ First time coming here. Felt like Chinese tonight. And thought I'd try a different place since Felt like boneless spareribs and shrimp fried rice. Definitely much better than where I was going. Rice is much lighter and not gummy sticky. The spareribs had actual flavor and were not even close to dry. The same price but taste better. No Brainer where I will be getting my Chinese from. Even though I do not eat Chinese, but every 6 month. So a good choice this was. I will be trying the chicken egg Foo young next. That is my favorite Chinese dish. “ Food was great and it wasn't that expensive. We ordered sautéed broccoli with white rice, chicken lo mein, mixed vegetables in garlic sauce, chicken wings and shrimp fried rice. Every meal I just stated was absolutely delicious and finger-licking good. ”

“ Happy China has been around for yeaaaarss. Their establishment used to be where Eckerd was on W. Seventh St. which is now of course a Walgreens. I was sad that the original owners sold it to somebody else maybe 5 yrs or so ago because the food tasted so bad and was so bland! So I stopped going there. But recently, I wanted to give them another shot to see if their food has gotten any better. I'm so glad I did! The food tastes exactly how I remembered it back in the late 90's and early '00. So far I've tried the chicken with broccoli lunch special with pork fried rice and an egg roll. It was very good and tasty. I've also tried the boneless spare ribs with pork fried rice and egg drop soup, both were sooo delicious :-P Also, both times I've gone, the workers there have been very courteous and very friendly. I will definitely be back! Maybe I'll try the chicken wings next time ;-) Next time, I won't forget to take pics lol. ”

“ I order the same dish - General Tso's Tofu - at every Chinese takeout I go to as a common denominator to compare them. And I only write when it's notable. And Happy China's is! They use a proper egg wash (or is it Corn Starch) to give it a crispy texture. And the sauce isn't overpowering. I'm a big fan of the place just based on this dish. Side note, as I was sitting waiting for my food, I was reminded that the Chinese takeout is a beautiful thing. From its backlit signage unchanged since childhood to the neon lights (if you're lucky) reminiscent of the nineties, there's something comforting about Happy China. It's comfort food for sure, made by immigrants striving for the best. ”
